Our Home

The Lee and Beulah Moor Children's Home is a gift from the late Lee and Beulah Moor to the children of the El Paso region. The first children came to live at the Home in December 1959. Since that time thousands of children's lives and their families' have been impacted by staff and services from the Home. The Home is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a General Residential Operation and a Child Placing Agency. The Home is a member of the Texas Coalition of Homes for Children and the Southwest Association of Homes for Children. The Home and its program and services continue to evolve to meet the needs of children and families.

Our History

Lee and Beulah Moor Children’s Home in El Paso, Texas is the fulfillment of a dream and a legacy. Mr. Lee Moor and his beloved wife, Beulah wanted to improve the lives of others; to give to those with few or no opportunities: to children who deserved a “chance” in life and who otherwise may have had no chance at all. Lee and Beulah Moor wanted to make a difference. Mr. Moor left a living legacy of his belief in helping others by establishing a trust for the proposed children’s home which opened in December of 1959.
