A Letter to Lee Moor
To the Lee & Beulah Moor Home,
I wasn’t sure where to send this thank-you note.
I just wanted to say that me, my older brother, and older sister lived at this great home from January to May of 1962. That February I turned 10 years old. I am the youngest of seven.
I still tell people about my time at the Moor home. It was good. I had my first dentist appointment, my first suit, and a bed to myself. I had clothes for every day of the week and two pairs of shoes. Wow, I even got an allowance of 35 cents a week in a little manila envelope!
